Who are we?

We are the Spanish company that creates and manufactures the most innovative, advanced and exclusive lighting technology for padel courts on the market. We design and manufacture entirely in Biscay (Spain), guaranteeing superior quality standards, international certifications and technology developed specifically for the sport of padel.

Where do we manufacture our luminaires?

We manufacture in Spain. Spain is a global leader in the padel sector, and our technology must meet the highest quality standards. All our production (components, assembly, quality control and technical verification) is carried out in Biscay. This is not a luminaire imported from China.

Compliance with FIP standards

Yes, we comply with all the regulations of the International Padel Federation. We are the only manufacturing company that has designed this product specifically for padel and in full compliance with all regulations applicable to a padel club.

We are the only technology that complies with all regulations related to: – Lighting safety – Sports performance – European, US and Canadian electrical regulations – Efficiency and reparability standards.

International certifications

UL certification vs ETL certification

UL and ETL are not equivalent. Only a true manufacturer can obtain full UL certification. Our luminaires and suppliers undergo quarterly audits, ensuring maximum reliability.

Is ELLITE perimeter lighting expensive?

  • It is not a cost, it is a strategic investment. Compared to Chinese supermarket or car park luminaires:
  • They are not comparable products.
  • ELLITE is a system designed exclusively for padel.
  • It delivers a premium aesthetic, visual comfort, zero glare and absolute differentiation for the club.
  • It represents only between 0.5% and 5% of the total project investment.
  • It reduces energy consumption by up to 80% with our software.

Repairability and maintenance

We comply with the European repairability regulations (Directive 2024 – Repair of Goods).

All components are replaceable, recyclable and accessible without having to replace the entire luminaire.

Impact resistance

We are the only technology designed to withstand real padel impacts. – IK10 unbreakable lenses. – Extruded aluminium housing, 2–4 mm thick. – Maximum-thickness aluminium PCB.

Low-cost linear supermarket luminaires are IK08 and are made of brittle acrylic and low-cost PCBs.

  • If you are looking for the cheapest option and plan to install a linear supermarket luminaire, you may as well buy it directly from China (AliExpress / Alibaba) and save on intermediaries. 

Are supermarket or car park luminaires suitable for lighting padel courts?

They do not comply with FIP regulations..

  • They do not comply with lighting regulations.
  • Designed for ceilings of 2.5–3 m.
  • Low-cost materials. 
  • Brittle acrylic lenses. 
  • Poor resistance to moisture and dust (IP20).
  • They cannot be properly repaired.
  • They do not integrate with booking apps.

In padel, the installation is at a height of 8m, with extreme logistical difficulty. Replacing low-cost luminaires is a significant hidden cost for the club.

Lighting studies and manipulation

99% of lighting studies we receive from third parties are manipulated.

We send each product to accredited laboratories ENAC, TUV, ILAC. They are responsible for generating photometric files (IES/LDT) and certificates. They carry out tests according to regulations and generate standard studies such as Dialux studies.

Flicker & flickering

The law has prohibited power supplies not Flicker Free since 2009.

  • All our luminaires have been Flicker Free since 2010.
  • The low-cost supermarket parking projectors do not comply with regulations and are harmful to the visual health of padel players.

 

Light regulation

All modern lighting must be dimmable and adaptable according to the type of game by regulations. Our system allows:

  • Power adjustment.
  • Integration with motion/light sensors.
  • Control via software or app depending on the type of player.
  • Maximum energy savings.
  • Self-consumption with solar panels.

Is more light always better for playing padel?

Putting more light than necessary according to each type of game is not good. More does not mean better, quite the opposite.

We seek balance between:

  • Visual comfort
  • Energy saving
  • Game quality

Installation

The rules are clearly defined and well understood.

Installation height

8m, as written in the FIP regulations.

  • We are outside the vertical of the playing perimeter.
  • We can install it at any height that offers the best aesthetics and uniformity.
  • A key advantage: we do not generate glare
  • We adjust the power to our liking.
  • We have full flexibility when installing it.

Colour temperature of the light

  • The ideal is neutral white 4200–4800 K, according to the McAdam ellipse.

    We work with the entire CCT colour range and the entire CRI colour rendering range.

    • The light described by the regulations is between 4,000ºK and 5,000ºK.
    • We recommend 5,000ºK because 4,000ºK, while being a very pleasant colour, is perceived as yellow.
    • At 5,000ºK, blue (450nm) is well controlled.
    • Regarding the colour range, 70 and 80 depending on the type of padel club or game.

Impact resistance

The luminaires do not move under normal game impacts. And even if they moved slightly, since they do not generate shadows, it would not affect the aesthetics or the game in any way.

  • It is impossible to move the luminaire with the mass and inertia at which the ball moves in the game.
